How To Essay (make arrows)

In this essay I'm going to explain the best I can how to make standard shop arrows. Arrows have been around for thousands of years. The Roman Empire used arrows all armies used arrows back then. Native Americas used arrows for war and for hunting. Almost every race and place has the history used arrows to name a few Africa,South America,Europe,North America and that's just a few. Today's Archers have evolved and arrows are not just made of wood anymore we have carbon arrows and aluminum. The bows have really evolved from back then now some bows are made of types of metals called "compound bows" they are the more high tech bows. A lot of people still shoot bows made out of wood "Traditional bows" they are less of demand then the compound bows but are really fun to shoot.

First thing you need to know before making arrows is the what type of arrow you want to make. The come in Aluminum,Wood and most used is the Carbon arrows. Well we will to choose the most common arrow the carbon arrow.(1) First thing is to take your arrows of the manufactured package.( 2) Next is two get this type of material its kinda like sand paper and at the back of the arrow you just pretty much sand from the nock down about 6 inches.(3) After that get a paper towel and put a good amount of alcohol on it and whip down the end you just sanded.(4)Once that is done then put the arrows on whats called a "Jig" a machine that hold the arrows in place.(5)Now you choose the type and size and color of the feather or vanes you want to go on the arrows.(6) Next with the feathers or vanes you've chosen put them in whats called a 'Clamp" this clamp has a magnet on its side witch connects to the jig that holds the arrows.(7) On the clamp it has lines that measure how far you want the vane on your arrow this all depends on you but most people put there feathers on the third line.(8) After your done putting all the feathers in there clamps its time for the fun part gluing them to the arrows.(9)Take one clamp and place it in your left hand then get the special glue designed for arrow making and barely squeeze it and put glue along the piece of feather or vane that sticks out of the clamp make sure the glue is neat and not too much glue because this will cause problems.(10)Now you can set the clamp on the jig and push a little on the back of the jig to make sure the glue does its job.(11) Once your done doing that to all your arrows then I recommend waiting about 25 30 minutes for feathers arrows a little less for vanes before tuning the knob on the jig to do the other side of the arrow.(12) The last step is to enjoy what you have made and go out and hunt or for competition either way your sharing the history with past and future.
