Uniforms take away the one thing us young people have and that's our style. The way we show people who we are and what we are about is the way we dress. What do you accomplish by having uniforms? Ill tell you what you get students that rebel against the administration its pointless and every body looks the same witch means your telling us we are like each other. I don't see any connection between uniforms and getting an education. So why is it a big deal? This is my theory the school board thinks by having us dress the same we the control the student body better because we are all supposed to be alike since we look alike and we will act alike or something. I no its a really stupid theory but honestly learning and how a person dresses does not effect the way there brain works. So why they choose to make student were uniforms is beyond me unless they do it to make the school look professional or something I don't know.
I do understand that uniforms have something to do with people being self conscious about there clothes and affording a certain brand of clothes that other kids have but uniforms cost money and are really expensive so the same problem would just appear in a different form. I do understand that and see there point of view but that should not effect there school work. Any way school is not a fashion show place so who cares what kids where as long as its appropriate let them be who they are. I speak for every student when I say uniforms destroy who we are and who we are becoming. We cant look like every one else then how do we become who we are if we cant find out for ourselves.
